Founded in 1968 in the district of Barcala, Feiraco is a cooperative of Galician cattle farmers transformed today into a benchmark of the Galician dairy sector. With its main plant in Ames, A Coruña, it produces, collects and markets cows’ milk and by-products solely from the farms belonging to CLUN’s farming partners, which guarantees all of the services necessary to carry out their activity.
Feiraco’s origins date back to 1968, when 400 cattle farmers from the valley of Barcala, a depressed area of inland A Coruña, decided to actively contribute to the economic and social development of the district. Throughout its history, more than 10,000 partners have formed a part of the Feiraco family.
Feiraco milk comes solely from the farms of CLUN partners, located in 18 boroughs throughout the area of influence of A Coruña’s districts of Santiago, Ordes and Arzúa. The geographical proximity of its farms favours the quality and traceability of its products, as well as the preservation of the surrounding environment. Furthermore, its farms encourage sustainable management models as well as innovation and food safety policies that guarantee the quality of all the products from the source.
